Hayling Island Kitesurf School is the longest running kitesurf centre in the UK, set up in 1999 by
one of the pioneers of the sport, Chris Bull. HIKS is a BKSA

We provide approved tuition for kitesurfing, power kiting, kite land boarding,
stand up paddle boarding and wakeboarding.
We have the most experienced team of instructors of any school in the UK, we use

Setup Hayling Island Kitesurf School in 1999. Ever since then
I have been teaching and running the school here at Hayling, designing and running
instructor training courses, training and coaching the
British youth team.
Teaching all aspects of kiteboarding is my life. I like to push my riding in all disiplines, old skool board offs,
new skool wake style, wave riding, mega kiteloop sesions, kiteboarding has so many styles it never gets boring.
I'm thrilled to see students getting up, riding and having fun on the water.
I intend to continue growing and developing the school and
sport within the UK and making the most of everyday.

For Chris kiteboarding is all about style, power, fluidity and commitment. He specialises in wake and park style kiting where he'll
keep his kite low and powered, pulling him horizontally into low technical flips and spins or snowboard style ramps and rails.
Chris wants to push and develop wake and park style kiting in kiteboarding, travel more to events and continue enjoying kiteboarding with friends at amazing places.

Ben started off teaching in Kenya at a young age; when he finished school he travelled the world teaching at a number of locations from the
Western Coast of Australia to Fiji. When he finally moved to the UK in 2004 he worked on the Isle of Wight teaching back and forth between there and Kenya.
Ben finally moved to Hayling Island three years ago and is starting his 3rd season
with the company. During the winter he escapes the cold, travelling to locations
such as Dubai, Spain, Perth and Mexico to carry on his passion for teaching
kitesurfing.
Having been involved in the wakeboarding scene in the UK while at university, Ben has applied
a similar style to his kitesurfing. He enjoys riding in rail parks and hitting kickers and trying to work on the style of his tricks by pushing the
wakestyle approach to kitesurfing.
Ben is in the process of setting up a watersports training facility in Kenya where we will all be heading out to in the
Winter to enjoy the great conditions, so make sure you ask him about what's going on when you
meet on your course. He is also developing his training skills
and is on the way to become a BKSA examiner so that he can teach people to become kitesurfing instructors.
